After the first round, we are moving towards focusing on LSM as the primary brand identity and moving away from an editorial finish.
The risk here is that if we want an icon, LSM and a wordmark, busyness could creep into the identity.
So our thinking is that LSM needs to become the core icon if the intention is for the brand to be read and seen as LSM.
See options below.
We really think Option 01 has the strongest potential. It is a beautiful font, balanced, premium, geometrical, and creates a very striking monogram. The bevelled effect creates a physical presence to the design.
Cathedral's Suggested DirectionBevelled L.S.M monogram paired with the Liberty Strategic Minerals lockup. Balanced, premium, geometrical — a striking, dimensional mark with real physical presence.
Stencil-cut LSM monogram with full Liberty Strategic Minerals lockup. Industrial, confident, single block.
Four-tile checker mark paired with a clean sans LSM wordmark. Geometric, modular, mineral-grid.
Compass-star mark — four arcs around a centred dot. Navigational, precise, quietly editorial.
Three slanted bars suggesting forward motion and strata. Direct, kinetic, masthead-ready.
Radiating aperture mark beside a heavyweight LSM wordmark — a sunburst-meets-drillhead emblem signalling extraction and energy.
